I just finished a brand new book - the first one I’ve written since I transitioned out of the big consultancies.
It’s about sales.
But you’ve never read a sales book like this one.
There are many books and trainers teaching tactical salesmanship. These all attempt to tackle the Newtonian (aka linear) approach to sales & influence.
“Say this when they say THAT.”
“Ask THIS to make them say that.”
At one point I was running a team of 50 sales personnel and we hardly ever trained on the tactics. The tactics are, in some ways, self-regulating if you have the right philosophies. How you think precipitates what you say.
I’ve included the introduction chapter here. If you’re interested in reviewing a pre-release copy, shoot me a note.
Excited for you to see this.
Introduction - Learning to Sell
Learning to sell is about more than just what to say.
It’s how you say it. When you say it. And the mood & state you’re in when you actually say it. Your biology matters. Your state matters. The pauses before you speak and after the prospect speaks — it all makes a difference.
When you go up against the greatest closers in the world, I will teach you how to beat them.
If you want to become weaponized in the art of conversational selling at a primal, almost spiritual level, this book will break down the complexities of mastery into easy building blocks that you can repeat, rehearse & practice. In short, with enough practice, my sales philosophy will work to turn you into a black belt level practitioner, even if you’re currently a rookie.
A quick word of caution: black belts have an ethical obligation. Their obligation is to not kill you.
They can dismantle another human with their bare hands and a bit of basic leverage. The more dangerous you become, the higher your ethical standards must be. Learning my style of selling is like being a black belt in the martial arts — you can do things to other humans that will feel to them like magic. If you aren’t honorable with it, you can hurt a lot of people.
Which begs the question, why am I teaching you this, now?
Over the last few years, many of my prior sales reps and students have gone on to create jaw-droppingly successful careers & businesses. A few of my frameworks have started showing up in places I did not expect.
People are beginning to re-use them because they work better and more consistently than anything else. In a conversation with a friend it dawned on me: it’s not a matter of IF people figure this material out — the cat’s already outta the bag — it’s a matter of how. I need to ensure that as you learn the ropes, you are trained with the original morals & ethics included.
My style is very different from what you’re used to.
Selling is not a “transaction.” People can smell your motive from a mile away. If you need the sale, you’re dead before you begin. Sales, in its purest form, is simply this: leadership. Sales is the ability to lead another human to the place they’ve always deeply desired to go. The moral equation is simple: you must never take money from someone if it isn’t in their best interest to give you their money.
These lessons are not designed to be “hacked” or used selfishly. They are designed to be upheld like any good martial art. This book is not just a way of communicating – it is a way of living that will enable you to create more influence. If you’re scared of sales, this book will make it easy & effortless. If you’re in sales full time right now, this book will take you up several levels in your skill.
You’re about to read the source material for some of the most powerful sales techniques in the world, published for the first time directly from its origination.
As a final word before we dive into the material, I want to say thank you. That’s broad, so I’ll narrow it down: thank you for learning this material.
There’s nothing good in your life that did not come about as a result of someone influencing you to do it. Whoever influenced you to buy this book, you should thank them.
Influence moves the world forward. Whether it’s Einstein writing his papers, acknowledging quantum physics for the first time; or Steve Jobs, wearing the infamous black turtleneck, presenting to the world the power of the iPod — persuasion advances us.
So thank you, for advancing the world, one human at a time.
If you master this game, you will never be the same.
It will be in a series of three books…
I’m halfway through the next one, but this one should be available for purchase at the end of June.

P.S. As an aside, I’m wrapping up several old projects while staffing for new ones. My content production has been lower lately due to split bandwidth — coming back online now though! Thanks for hanging and I hope your year is going exceptionally well.
Hi, Taylor. Great introduction to book one of three. Kindly share the pre-sale release for my review.
Cheers to influencing and impacting all those we encounter.
Super pumped about this! Would love to review an advanced copy.
